Born on April 14 th, 1929, in Brooklyn New York, Doris was a beacon of strength, resilience, and steadfast stoicism.After her mother passed away when she was three, she went to live with her grandparents in Germany, where she remained until 1947. Upon returning to New York, she went to night school to learn English and obtained a job working at the Oyster Bay Pearl Company. After marrying Fredrick Koch, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family embracing her role as a homemaker with love and dedication. Doris enjoyed many hobbies including knitting, sewing, crocheting, needlepoint, baking, and gardening. She always had a small project she was working on. Her craft projects were masterful creations filled with incredible detail and precision. At family and holiday gatherings, cookies and cakes were always plentiful, a sweet reflection of love for her family.She is survived by her two sons-in-law William Calvitti and Tyler Feeley, and four grandchildren Michael Calvitti (Misti, wife), Amy van der Linden (John, husband), Melissa Feeley-Smith (Steven Smith, husband), Matthew Feeley and two great-grandchildren Jemma van der Linden and Finn van der Linden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Koch, and daughters, Doreen Feeley, and Elizabeth Calvitti.A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in San Clemente, California, on March 20 th, 2026, with interment services at Riverside National Cemetery on the same day.In Memory of Doris, contributions may be made to the following organizations: ALS Association at als.org, Team Gleason at teamgleason.org, or The Michael J.
