Doris Sipe ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg on Mar. 9, 2026.Doris Jean (Kite) Sipe, 95, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Bellaire at Stone Port.Mrs. Sipe was born on January 24, 1931, in Harrisonburg and was a daughter of the late Earl and Cloda (Waggy) Kite. Doris worked as a medical assistant for Drs. Hollen Helbert and Walter Green, III. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Fishersville, and a former member of Muhlenberg Lutheran Church.On June 6, 1958, she married Charles Frederick Sipe, who preceded her in death on March 7, 2019.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Sipe was preceded in death by her brother, Rudolph Waggy.She is survived by a niece, Jo Thompson and husband, Joseph; three nephews, Allen Waggy, Michael Waggy and wife, Rose, Fred Swartz and wife, Nancy, as well as a cousin and care giver, Loretta Clark and husband, Michael.Following the cremation, a graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 2 p.m., at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Tim Bohlmann officiating.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
