The passing of Doris Edge of Spartanburg, South Carolina, born in Roanoke, Virginia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 8, 2026 at the age of 98. Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillie Mae Powers and John J. Edge; and her brothers, John Lee Edge (Loree), David Oliver Edge (Marcelle) and Fred Mason Edge (Lois).

She is survived by: her sibling's children, Donna Roddy (Dan), Gary Edge (Laura), Barry Edge (Dixie) and Becky Hughes (John); and her aunt Dottie "Grandma Dottie" (Lord). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bobo Funeral Chapel (1860 Cannons Campground Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
