Doris Ann Newcom

Doris Ann Newcom, age 80, of Marion, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. A homemaker and longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church in Sturgis, she lived a quiet life centered on family and faith.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Newcom of Utica, Kentucky; her daughter, LaRae Wilson of Mayfield, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Corley, Cassandra Newcom, Devin Corley, Clayton Newcom, and Kaylob Newcom; three great-grandchildren, Ray, Esme, and Juliet; one brother, H.E. Doom; and one sister, Marla Rushing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Doom and Ovella Gillespie Doom; her husband, Norman Newcom; one sister, Darlene West; and one brother, L.A. Doom.

Doris will be remembered for the steady love and care she gave her family throughout her life.
