Doramae Little Goyette Cole, 93, a longtime resident of Groton, New York, passed peacefully at home on March 11, 2026. Affectionately known as “Cookie Grandma,” she found joy in gardening, traveling cross country in her husband’s 18-wheeler, and sharing breakfast each morning at Mano’s Diner in Ithaca before it closed. A longtime member of the Groton Assembly of God, she remained deeply connected to her faith and her community throughout her life.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Borgeson, Meddie Goyette, Judy Fenton, Leslie Moore, Babbie Hinch, Kelly Goyette, Karen Stabler, Michelle Austin, and Christy Johnson, along with 30 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Doramae was predeceased by her husbands, Meddie Goyette Jr. and Robert Cole, her daughter Emma Lee Hart, grandsons Shawn Monk and Alex Cooper, and granddaughter Cherish Cooper.
