Dookhran Durga

Dookhran Durga, 92, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. He was the beloved widower of Indra, with whom he shared 40 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Born on February 18, 1934, in Arouca, Trinidad and Tobago, to his loving parents Durgha and Mankee, Dookhran was a devoted father to Rishi and Ravi, and a cherished father-in-law to Shenfa and Satee. He was a loving grandfather, known as Aja to Ryan, Amanda, Ricky, Dillon, and Alisa. One of many siblings, he had seven sisters and five brothers.

He attended Jordan College and worked as a school bus driver for seven years before retiring 24 years ago. Dookhran found joy in reading, singing, spending time by the beach, and most of all, being surrounded by his family and loved ones.

He will be remembered for his warm spirit, his ability to make everyone laugh, and his kindness, generosity, and loving nature that touched the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
