Donny Ray Norwood

Donny Ray Norwood passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on March 5, 1949, in Eastland, Texas, he remained a lifelong resident of Comanche, where he became a cherished member of the community. For many years he worked at Biggs Farm Supply, forming deep friendships and sharing laughter with those around him.

He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Linda Elaine (Thornal) Norwood, with whom he shared 53 loving years. Together they created a warm family life filled with cherished memories. Donny leaves behind his daughter, Debra Clark, and son, James Shipman, as well as his grandchildren, Matthew, Zachery, Mylia, and Brianna Shipman. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Payton Rutland, Makayla Locke, T.J. Rutland, and Bladen Locke. He is survived by his nephew, Shayne Satterwhite, and nieces, Dena Escobar, Michelle Velasquez, Wendy Hibbitts, Alicia Erichsen, Caitlin Thornal, Brandy Clibbens, and Cassey Zovodney.
