Donnie Byron Kincer, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, was born on November 13, 1938, in Haymond, Kentucky, the son of the late C. Byron and Delcie Mae (Adams) Kincer. Raised in Haymond, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family. He graduated from Whitesburg High School and was later honored as a Kentucky Colonel.
On May 8, 1960, Donnie married Carol Wright in Haymond, Kentucky, and together they had two daughters. On July 1, 1993, he married Marlene V. (Herring) Weales in Columbus, Indiana, and they shared nearly thirty-three years of marriage. He worked for many years as a supervisor for Reliance Electric Company in Columbus and was a longtime resident there before moving to Lawrenceburg. A faithful member of Trinity Christian Center, he was baptized at the church and found great joy in his faith.
Donnie was a devoted University of Kentucky Wildcats fan who loved watching UK basketball and NASCAR racing. He held a special place in his heart for his beloved cat, Snowball. He passed away on March 10, 2026, at Ridgewood Health Campus in Lawrenceburg, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene V. (Herring) Kincer of Lawrenceburg; daughters Sherry Hennies and her husband Jim of Lawrenceburg, and Madonna King and her husband Ted of Columbus; grandchildren Jamie Hennies (Cody Johnson) of Burlington, Kentucky, and Jesse Hennies (Katie Dawes) of Austin, Texas; great-grandson Bodie Johnson of Burlington; former spouse Carol (Wright) Cain of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James W. Kincer, Ben Jack Kincer Sr., Delbert W. Kincer, Fred Kincer, Henry Dan Kincer Sr., and Charles Ross Kincer Sr., and sister Helen Louise (Kincer) Webb.
