Donna Wonsewitz

Donna Wonsewitz, born on August 3, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, passed away on March 7, 2026. A proud graduate of St. Clair High School, class of 1957, she built a distinguished 45-year career in real estate, earning respect for her professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Known for her vibrant, outgoing personality, Donna brought joy and laughter to every gathering, embracing life with enthusiasm and a lively spirit. She was also an accomplished and respected gambler, often regarded by friends as a true professional in the pursuit.

For 59 years, Donna shared a loving marriage with her husband, Charles, who preceded her in death in 2019. Together they traveled extensively, creating a lifetime of cherished memories through their shared adventures and companionship.

She is survived by her children, Pam (the late Tom) Heuer, Cathy (Ron) Geimer, and Lori (James) Dillick; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Deanna (the late Fred) Hinson, along with many other family members and friends who will hold her memory dear.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wonsewitz; her son, James Wonsewitz; her mother, Eleanor Catherine Borgmeyer; her father, Joseph Doberstein; and her brother, John (the late Wanza) Borgmeyer. Her legacy of love, laughter, and dedication endures in the hearts of all who knew her.
