Donna Reid ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels - Waltham on Mar. 10, 2026.Donna Reid (Russell), 91, of Waltham, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in the comfort of home.Born in Waltham to the late Jack and Tiffany (Daisy) Russell, Donna was a proud graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1953.Donna truly lived life to the fullest and was always ready for her next adventure. A social butterfly by nature, she loved spending time with friends, whether it was playing cards with her girlfriends or meeting "the girls" for their regular Saturday lunches at Wendy's. Donna cherished the simple joys of life; talking on the phone, stopping by for coffee, visiting with friends, and always making time for the people she cared about.Known for her generous spirit and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Donna would be the first to admit she wasn't much of a cook; however, she could clean, organize, remove a stain, and do laundry like nobody's business while taking great pride in keeping things just right.Donna loved her food, especially tacos and proudly considered herself a true carnivore and a sweet spot for brownies or cookies paired with a glass of milk. Music brought her joy, particularly the songs of Patsy Cline and the classic hits of the 1940s and 1950s.She loved to travel and experience new things and believed deeply in life's possibilities. Donna often said, "Everything will work out" and "I can do anything!" As a final remembrance, she simply wished to be remembered with the words: "She was good while she lasted."Donna was predeceased by her siblings, John Russell Jr. and Beverly Azzalina. The beloved mother of Robert West Jr., Paula Sheehan, and Brenda Wilson, and the cherished spouse of John Reid and the late Robert West Sr.Donna was the loving grandmother of Rhonda Surette, Deric Wilson, Scott Wilson, and Jenna-Lee Shierling. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.Donna's warmth, humor, and vibrant spirit will be remembered by the many family members and friends whose lives she touched.Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and remember the love and friendship Donna shared with all during visiting hours on Sunday, March 15, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody Street, Waltham.A Memorial Service celebrating Donna's life will begin at 2:00 p.m.As an expression of sympathy, flowers are welcome."Parking attendance will be on duty""Creating Meaningful meaning""Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels"To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
