Donna May Frondal

Donna May Frondal, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the St. Mary's Campus at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Donna was born on July 22, 1957 in Austin, Minnesota to Alfred and Clarice (Gleghorn) Johnson. She grew up in the Austin area and attended New Richland High School. She began her career as an aide at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea, where she worked for many years. She later married the love of her life, Barry Frondal, and they shared a devoted life together.

Donna found great joy in reading and gardening, tending both flowers and vegetables. She cherished time with her family, whether camping, enjoying motorcycle rides, or watching old westerns. She held a special affection for her cat Bean and loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her husband Barry Frondal, her sister Darlene (Gene) Timmerman, her brothers Darrel (Lorna) Johnson and Donald (Diane) Johnson, her brother-in-law Brian Frondal, and many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Clarice Johnson, her brothers Dewayne and Dale, her nephew Christopher Lobb, and her father- and mother-in-law Duane and Evelyn Frondal. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
