Donna Holmes ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home - Storm Lake on Mar. 16, 2026.Donna Holmes, age 92, of Storm Lake, Iowa passed away peacefully at her home on March 14, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.Funeral Mass will take place Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH one hour prior to the service. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.Donna Carlson Holmes was born May 11, 1933, in Fort Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Delmer and Anna Carlson. She lived a long and meaningful life defined by devotion to family, kindness to others, and a steady presence that touched many.Donna will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the deep love she shared with her family. Her life was a gift to those who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She loved to play cribbage with her friends and solitaire on her iPad.Her family finds comfort in the many memories they shared and the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind.She is lovingly remembered by her two sons: Mike (Valerie) Holmes of Brandon, South Dakota, and David Holmes of Storm Lake, Iowa. Donna's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jeff Sawvell of Storm Lake, Iowa; Cameron Holmes and Carolyn Lussenhop of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Andy Holmes and McKayla Poppens of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Ellie and Mason Blue of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Carter Holmes of Brandon, South Dakota.Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Holmes, and her sister, Phyllis Jensen.
