Lake City, FL
Donna Lenora Coleman, a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at Willowbrook Assisted Living Center in Lake City, Florida, after an extended illness. Born on September 16, 1938, in Lake Butler, Florida, Donna was known for her caring, loving, and giving nature—a reflection of her Christ-like spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her.
Her dedication to family was evident throughout her life, as she embraced the role of homemaker with grace and warmth. She found great joy in nurturing her children and creating lasting memories with her grandchildren. Donna thrived in building strong bonds and fostering a deep sense of togetherness within her family.
Traveling became one of her greatest passions after her husband, Charles Eugene Coleman, retired. For roughly five years, they explored the United States together in their RV, sharing the beauty of new places and the simple joy of discovery. These journeys enriched their lives and strengthened the loving connection they cherished.
Donna is survived by her husband, Charles Eugene Coleman; her sons, Nelson (Tammy) Coleman and Jimmy (Candice) Coleman; her grandchildren, Andrea West, Danny Coleman, Justin Coleman, Lenora Hedgespeth, and Ruby Diaz; as well as her great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by her parents, Nelson Dekle and Ruby Dekle Handley, her beloved daughter, Charlene Lenora Short, and all her siblings. Those who knew her will forever hold dear the memories of her unconditional love and gentle guidance.
