Born on June 12, 1948, in Montclair, New Jersey, Donna lived a life full of love, dedication, and joy.Donna was the cherished daughter of the late David Rapheal Collins and Eileen Doris (Heslin) Collins. She is preceded in death by her dear brothers, John George Collins and Patrick Thomas Collins.After earning her Associate Degree in Applied Science from Bucks County Community College in Newtown, Pennsylvania, Donna embarked on a fulfilling career as a legal secretary. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication earned her respect and admiration in her field.Beyond her professional life, Donna was known for her love of traveling, which took her to many beautiful places and created lasting memories with her husband and family. A talented cook, she enjoyed sharing her culinary skills, often hosting family barbecues that became treasured gatherings for loved ones. Her warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her.Donna's legacy continues through her devoted husband, Werner Rudolf Ablassmeir, and their children, Michael Werner (Amy) Ablassmeir and Melissa Lee (Luis) Sanchez. She was a proud grandmother to her five grandchildren: Matthew Alexander Sanchez, Aidan Michael Ablassmeir, Joshua Andrew Sanchez, Rayna Breece Ablassmeir, and Timothy James Sanchez, who were the light of her life.She is also survived by her loving siblings: Arlene "Bonnie" (Collins) Carlough, Kathleen Nancy (Collins) Seibert, David James Collins, Maureen Ann (Collins) Cullen, Barbara "Sue" Collins, and Eileen Mary (Collins) Bray. Her family will forever cherish the memories they shared with her and continue to honor the values she instilled in them.Donna Lee Ablassmeir touched the lives of many with her generosity, love, and spirit. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) in her honor.
