Donna Kim Roble

July 27, 1945 March 10, 2026

Dodgeville, WI

Donna "Kim" Roble, age 80, of Dodgeville, Wisconsin, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Crestridge Memory Care in Dodgeville.

Born on July 27, 1945, to Donald and Myrna Vincent in Dubuque, Iowa, Kim grew up in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Her deep love of music began with childhood piano lessons and flourished throughout her school years. At Lancaster High School, she earned music awards in band and choir at the UW-Madison Music Festival and received the Arion Award. She performed her high school piano recital at St. Clements and her college recital at UW-Platteville alongside her identical twin sister, Deanna "Kay" Vincent.

Kim earned a bachelor's degree in music education from UW-Platteville, where she sang in Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors and Handel's Messiah, accompanied the university choir, served as a madrigal singer, and worked as librarian for the Interlochen Summer Music Festival. She began her teaching career in Dodgeville, where she taught music at Dodgeville Elementary School for 36 years. Known for her kind heart and warm smile, she guided thousands of children in kindergarten through fourth grade, directing 72 music programs and accompanying the middle school choir for many years. On June 6, 1970, she married Dan Roble, her colleague in the Dodgeville music department, at the United Methodist Church in Lancaster. Together they shared a memorable trip to Europe with the UW-Platteville Wind Ensemble.

A devoted member of the Dodgeville United Methodist Church for decades, Kim served as choir accompanist for over 40 years, participated in the United Methodist Women, and led the UMW Kitchen Band, bringing music to nursing homes throughout the area. She was also a proud member of Chapter M of P.E.O. since 1977, serving as president from 1994 to 1996, and belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star. In retirement, she continued teaching piano, accompanying students for Solo and Ensemble festivals, and remained active with the Iowa County Retired Educators.

Kim was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dan, in 2020; her parents, Donald and Myrna Vincent; stepfather George Johnson; sisters LaVon Scull, Ruth Currier, and twin Deanna "Kay" Vincent; and other dear family members. She is survived by her sons, Christopher (Angie) Roble of Green Bay and their daughters Allison and Emma, and Matthew Roble (Koreena Wood) of Wisconsin Dells, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends.
