Donna Kay Lovelace, age 61, passed away on March 8, 2026 at her home in Pottsboro, Texas. She was born on July 31, 1964 at Madonna Hospital in Denison, Texas to Earl and Barbara Lovelace.
Donna was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of many with her profound sense of humor and eccentric personality. She possessed a brilliant mind, an empathetic heart, and an extraordinary ability to connect with just about anyone. A graduate of Denison High School, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Austin College and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. For many years she provided therapy and case management services to troubled children and their families in the DFW area.
She enjoyed traveling across the United States and Europe, spending time on Lake Texoma, and sharing her love of rock music, unconventional art, and fashion with an immense circle of friends and family. Donna adored her two little dogs, Jingles and Mija. A lifelong Democrat, she held a deep commitment to helping the underserved.
Donna is survived by her mother, Barbara Lovelace, brothers Mark Pierce and Dr. Michael Lovelace and wife Tonya, niece Brandi Lamb and husband Brandon, nephews Brandon Smith and wife Monica, Mark Lovelace, and Matthew Lovelace, great nieces Jane Lovelace and Madeline Lovelace, great nephew Aiden Lamb, and countless friends who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Lovelace, and her grandparents.
