Donna J. Slobodny

Donna J. Slobodny, 70, of Norfolk, passed away on March 10, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. Born on June 10, 1955, in Norfolk to Don and Della (Reimers) Cook, Donna lived a life centered on the people she loved most.

She married Randy Slobodny on July 3, 1980, and together they raised three children: Heather, Travis, and Mandy. Donna worked as a bookkeeper for most of her life. She found great joy in thrift shopping and, above all, in spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her children, Heather Slobodny, Travis (Jessica) Slobodny, and Mandy Board; her grandchildren, Aden and Chase Mielke, Brantly and Hunter Slobodny, and Cavin, Marayaha, and Cason Board; her brother, Jerry Cook; her sisters, Mary Williams and Barb (Frank) McGuire; her brother-in-law, Gary (Cindy) Slobodny; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy, and her parents, Don and Della Cook.
