Donna Hughes Mitchell

Donna Hughes Mitchell, age 66, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Union on March 10, 1960, Donna was the daughter of the late James Cary Hughes and Elizabeth Laxton Hughes. A graduate of Union High School, she worked at Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing, for twenty years. She was a longtime member of Bethesda Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, James Eric DePratter and Tyler Mitchell, both of Carlisle.

Donna will be remembered for the quiet strength and steady presence she brought to her family and community throughout her life.
