Donna Fay Konieczny

Donna Fay Konieczny passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at the age of 66, after a courageous six-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Surrounded by family and friends who remained constantly at her side, she faced her illness with remarkable grace, compassion, and kindness, always appreciating the love that enveloped her.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, as one of seven siblings, Donna placed family at the center of her life. She married young and devoted herself to raising her children, coaching her firstborn Justin through Little League baseball, encouraging her daughter Jessica in music and dance, and supporting her son Jonathon through school until he received his diploma. Outgoing and warm, she made friends everywhere she went and was known as the life of any gathering. She cherished time with others through cruises, hunting excursions, and preparing meals for those she loved. A singles group she started grew into a large circle of close friends, and later in life she found joy and community in bowling.

Donna had a deep passion for flowers, volunteering in floral shops and creating arrangements whenever she could. She loved the outdoors, often pausing to photograph bluebonnets and tending her garden with care. She was a talented cook who expressed her affection through food, and she embraced adventure, traveling to Mexico, Alaska, Germany, France, Switzerland, and returning often to Colorado. She treasured family vacations in Rockport, Texas, where she spent long days fishing and crabbing, and she looked forward each year to hunting season and her weekly trips to the bowling alley.

Her faith remained important to her throughout her life, and in her final days she spoke with gratitude for a life well lived and shared peaceful visions of heaven. Donna is survived by her partner Marty Roberts; her children Justin McIntosh and wife Haydee, Jessica Hileman and husband Grant, Jon McIntosh and wife Jackie, Don Francis and wife Paula; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her siblings Sandy Heinrich, Joyce Laurence, Charles Konieczny, and Lonnie Konieczny. She was preceded in death by her mother Leona McVicar, father CJ Konieczny, stepfather Bill McVicar, husband Duane Francis, stepdaughter Robin Francis, and brothers Ronnie and James Konieczny.
