He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Aughtham and Pearl Elizabeth Long (Rearden); his daughter Donna Long Perry; and his brother Charlie Long. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Long; and his siblings, Wanda Killough (Charles), Barbara McKnight, Bonnie Bell and David Long (Karen). He is also survived by many children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and beloved friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home - South Crest Chapel (833 Chickamauga Ave, Rossville, GA 30741).
