Crandall, 87, of Sebring, Florida, formerly of Burlington, Iowa, died Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Bud & Donna Summers Hospice House in Sebring, Florida.Born on November 13, 1938, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Audrey W. and Almina M. (Dryer) Crandall. On February 2, 1957, in Burlington, he married Nadine Miller. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2010.Donald was a graduate of Burlington High School. He served in the Iowa Army National Guard. While Donald lived in Burlington he attended Zion United Methodist Church with his family. For the majority of his life he worked for Hy-Vee Food Stores until they moved to Mesa, Arizona, where he worked for Norplex until his retirement. After retirement, Donald became a professional napper. He would take a nap whenever he pleased and would tell his children "I worked hard my whole life; I can finally rest." He also loved spending time with his family and enjoying his favorite meals.He is survived by his three children: Julie Wordsworth, Lori Dowell, and Don (Janean) Crandall. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nadine, brother Wayne, granddaughter Megan; two sons in-law: Doug Wordsworth and Mark Dowell.Per his wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.A Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2026, and his burial will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
