He was predeceased by: his wife Vera Porter; his parents, John Harvey and Mary Elizabeth Porter; and his siblings, Wesley Porter, John Porter, Jr., Dorothy Blalock and Judy Roberts.
He is survived by: his son Roger Glass; his grandchildren, Rodney Glass (Racyl) and Cathy Aaron (Tommy Randall); his brother Ben Porter (Eileene); and his sibling's children, Annette, Sherry, Jeff, Travis, Chris and Glenn Porter. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Highland Memorial Gardens (3115 18th Ave, Bessemer, AL 35020).
