Donald Strait

JONESBORO - Donald Ray Strait, 75, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born Oct. 14, 1950, in Canton, Ohio, to the late James Woodard Strait and Alberta Strait.Donald spent most of his life in the Jonesboro area, where he faithfully served as a pastor for 43 years. Throughout his ministry, he also dedicated many years to service on the Arkansas Board for the Southern Baptist Convention. In his retirement, Donald continued his calling through ministry work at the Total Life Center. Outside of his service, he found great enjoyment in hunting, fishing, and playing golf. In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by two of his brothers, David Strait and Lynn Strait.Survivors include his wife, Kay Strait; son, Scott Strait; daughter, Toni Bowen; brother, James Strait; grandchildren, Gavin (Sara) Strait, Rachel (Ty) foster and Scarlett Tyler as well as great-grandchild, Ellisyn Strait.A visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home on Saturday, March 21, from 9 to 10 a.m.A memorial service will follow the visitation at 10 a.m. with Reverend James Strait officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House, 1148 E.
