He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Wright Wilbanks; and his brother Billy. He is survived by: his sons, Brian Wilbanks (Andi) and Michael (Amanda); his grandchildren, Taylor (Katie), Samuel, John Daniel and Ella Kate; his great grandchild Arthur; Herbert (Carol).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist (120 N Chalkville Rd, Trussville, AL 35173). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
