Donald Ray Brumley, Sr., 87, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka. Donald was a veteran of the United States Army and was proud to have served his country. He was an antique car enthusiast who enjoyed working on vehicles and attending car shows and even built a wooden truck with one of his good friends.
He loved traveling with his wife after their retirement. They visited Canada several times to see family and every state except Hawaii. His favorite trips were the ones he got to take his grandchildren along with him. Donald thoroughly enjoyed looking into his family history and genealogy. Family was very important to him, and he loved showing up for them. He often made little trips to bring them flowers or wildflowers from the roadside.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Joyce McBride Brumley; his children, Donald Ray “Buddy” Brumley, Jr. (Laurie) and Yolanda Brumley Mansel (Gary); his grandchildren, Clarissa Brumley LaBarre (Selby), Brittany Province Cox (Jeremy), Paul Michael Province; his great-grandchildren, Cora Josephine LaBarre and Jackson Brumley Cox; his sister, Deedie Sue Brumley Wigington; his nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oris and Josephine Brumley; and his siblings, Joyce Brumley Hollowell and James Denver Brumley.
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. A graveside service will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Greg Enlow. Pallbearers include Greg Enlow, Ray Brumley, Derrick Brumley, Selby LaBarre, Jeremy Cox, and Matthew Brumley. Honorary pallbearers include Billy Barnes and James Smith. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. An online guestbook may be accessed at www.cutshallfuneralhome.com.
