Donald R. Cavanaugh

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald R. Cavanaugh of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 7, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Cavanaugh and Mary Cavanaugh (Gaborko); his wife Tillie E. Cavanaugh (Erickson); his siblings, Clyde Cavanaugh (Jean), Elmer Cavanaugh (Irene), Russell "Peach" Cavanaugh (Lou) and Gladys Stouffer (Donn); his nephew Ken Cavanaugh; his parents-in-law, Walter "Swede" and Louise Erickson (Brown); his siblings-in-law, Yvonne Fleegle (Erickson) and Sonny Erickson; and his friends, Joe Rause and Clem Pantalone.

He is survived by: his children, Casey Cavanaugh (Cheri) of Greensburg and Buffy Tooch (Phil) of Greensburg; his grandsons, Cory Cavanaugh (Anna) of Pittsburgh and Cade Cavanaugh of Greensburg; and his niece Connie Dzendzel (Nick).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc. (516 Stanton St, Greensburg, PA 15601). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church (246 S Main St, Greensburg, PA 15601).
