Donald Mitchell Marlow

Donald Mitchell Marlow, age 67, of Clairfield, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Born on November 18, 1958, in Jellico, Tennessee, Mitchell was a devoted family man who found deep joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing and gardening, and he cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. He often spoke with his brother about how much he loved all his kids and grandchildren, whether they knew it or not. Mitchell also took great pleasure in working alongside his friends Ray and Keith Woods.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Edith (Christian) Marlow; brothers Dee Marlow, Banner Marlow, James Monroe Marlow, James Edward “Peanut” Marlow, and Dorcey Hatmaker; and sisters Minnie Lloyd, Amy Gibson, Viola Wilson, Maudie Hatmaker, Wretha Kay Rose, Dela Twila Shoupe, and Kathy A. Brandenburg.

Mitchell is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Day; his children, Deanna Marlow and Robert, Elizabeth Marlow, Hollie Walston and husband Cody, and Donald Marlow and wife Conner; grandchildren Harley, Waylon, Taylor, Rachael, Jasmine, Jonathan, Gabbie, Donald Jr., Anna, and Abby; great-grandchildren Karter, Dixie, and Kayden; brother Billy Wayne Marlow and wife Linda; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family who will miss him dearly.
