Donald Louis Ohliger

MOULTONBOROUGH - Donald L. Ohliger, 88, of Moultonborough, NH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Born in Nyack, New York, Donald was the son of the late Louis and Gertrude (Krooss) Ohliger.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years. Following his military service, he went on to work his entire career at International Paper, retiring as the Head of Technical Development.

Don was a man to be trusted and admired. After retiring to Moultonborough, he enjoyed working with his hands and could often be found tackling projects around the house, landscaping in the yard, or restoring antiques. He also had a passion for collecting model trains, a hobby that brought him great enjoyment over the years.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Caroline Bailey; his nephews in Connecticut, Keith Harwood and Todd Harwood; and his niece-in-law, Elizabeth (Tom) Harwood of Connecticut. In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by his sister, Janet (Ohliger) Harwood, and his nephews, Tom and Ken Harwood.

Don and Caroline are very grateful for the help and support of caring friends and neighbors, especially during the trying times.

In keeping with Don's wishes, there will be no services held.
