Donald Kenney

Donald Kenney, 64, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born on November 6, 1961, in Queens, New York, he lived a life defined by service, dedication, and a deep love for his family and community.

Donald began his career as a police officer with the New York City Police Department. He continued his public service as a Sergeant with the Greenville County Detention Center and later as a Crew Supervisor at Greenville County Animal Care, retiring after 25 years with Greenville County. Known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to helping others, he was also a proud member of the American Cadet Alliance, carrying that same sense of duty and discipline throughout his life.

Outside of work, Donald found joy in gardening, cooking, and grilling for family and friends. He loved relaxing with travel shows and watching his favorite program, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen. His warm personality and welcoming spirit made him a beloved presence to everyone who knew him.

Donald will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend. He is survived by his loving wife and childhood sweetheart, Fiorella Kenney; his son, Ryan Kenney and his husband, Brandon; his daughters, Gabriella Davis and her husband, Connley, and Krystal Kenney; and his cherished grandchildren, Carmen, Connor, Treyvon, and Brandon. His legacy of kindness, service, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
