Donald John Boland

October 18, 1955 March 9, 2026

Colleyville, TX

Donald John Boland, 70, of Colleyville, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2026. He was born on October 18, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Donald John and Bernice Regina (Winka) Boland.

Don attended Rosary High School in Missouri. He worked for many years selling & financing Mercedes-Benz for dealerships in the DFW area. In 1997, he opened his own business, MB Haus, which services and restores Mercedes. He enjoyed teaching his son about craftsmanship and friendship, so he could continue in his footsteps.

In 1989, he married the love of his life, Katharine Boland, and they shared 36 years of marriage. They built a home and a business and raised two children together in Colleyville.

Don enjoyed his work, engaging with customers throughout the country. He, himself, and some of his customers would say he talked a bit too much, which only showed his passion for his Lord, his family, and his work. Don was blown away by his daughter’s musical talent and by his son’s racing abilities.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Katharine Boland of Colleyville; son John Boland and wife Sarah Boland of Gainesville; daughter Victoria Boland of Denton; grandson John Walker Boland of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law Ken and Penny Hatmaker of Haslet, and many nephews & nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald John and Bernice Regina (Winka) Boland.

An intimate family-only graveside service for Mr. Boland will be at New Hope Cemetery of Mountain Springs, Texas, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM with Pastor Rob Hively officiating. Afterward, there will be a come & go lunch style celebration of Don’s life for friends & family at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 251 New Hope Ln N South, Valley View, TX 76272 at 1:00-3:00 PM.

Memorials and flowers in honor of Mr. Boland may be sent to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
