Donald Hendershot

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Hendershot of Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Hendershot and Ethel Mae Dobson Hendershot; his great grandchild Gabriel Hendershot; and his siblings, Marlyn, Frank Hendershot, Doris Lundak, Beulah Haefner, Marian Drilling and Luella Reeves.

He is survived by: his wife Vonnie of Waterloo; his children, Stephen Hendershot (Vicki) of Cedar Falls, Angela Voshell of Waterloo and Jaqie Yarrington' (Doug) of Waterloo; and his brother Alvin Hendershot (Shirley) of Grundy Center. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tower Park (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to UnityPoint Hospice.
