Glenn served his country with courage, grit, and a strong sense of duty as a proud Vietnam veteran. During his service, he earned numerous honors, including the Air Medal with 16 Oak Leaf Clusters and the “V” Device for Valor, awarded for acts of heroism in combat. These distinctions stood as a powerful testament to the bravery and determination he demonstrated while serving his fellow soldiers under dangerous conditions. Though Glenn rarely spoke about the details of his service, those honors spoke clearly about the kind of man he was when it mattered most.
He carried that same sense of duty into everyday life. If something was broken, he fixed it. If someone needed help, he showed up. Beneath the rough edges was a man who believed deeply in service, loyalty, and taking care of the people around him. And if you had a few minutes to spare, he had stories, opinions, and no shortage of time to share them.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Bonnie, and by two beloved children, Donnie and Amy, whose memories he carried with him always.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary, his loving daughter, Genny, his brothers Gary, Ken, and Carl, sisters Mae, Karen, Shirley, and Carrie, his nieces and nephews, along with many friends, neighbors, and fellow veterans who benefited from his generosity, wisdom, and very detailed explanations of how things ought to be done.
