DONALD E. STRUNK

Donald “Don” Strunk died peacefully at home in Salem, New Jersey, on Monday, February 9, 2026. Born on June 21, 1938, in Virginia, he was the sixth of seven children born to Mamie (Winchester) Strunk and David Strunk.

Don spent most of his adult life as a barber, proudly calling himself a talented tonsorial engineer. Known for his humor and natural charm, he had a gift for putting people at ease. He loved books and movies, with a special passion for history—particularly local history that connected to people or places he knew. He also enjoyed traveling, mostly by car, and discovering new places.

He is survived by his wife, Gina; his children, Donald, Kate, Clover, and Lily; and his granddaughter, Montana.
