Donald D. Etzler

Donald D. Etzler was born on October 25, 1950, in Lincoln, Minnesota, and passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 75.

He began his trucking career at the age of 17 and spent many years on the open road, which remained his great passion throughout his life. He also found joy in woodworking, watching classic western movies, operating CAT equipment, and sharing stories, jokes, and tales from his travels. He retired at the age of 72, setting the brakes one final time after a long and fulfilling career.

He is survived by his daughter Roxanne Etzler and Douglas Moeller, his son Chad Etzler and Shannon Bettis, and his siblings Roger (Teresa) Etzler, Mike Etzler, Phyllis Plattner, Lois (Dwayne) Walters, Mark (Sheila) Etzler, Tom (Jeannie Johnson) Etzler, Randy Etzler, Nancy (Scott) Purington, and Tony (Nikki Carlson) Etzler, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and June Etzler, his brothers Paul and Kelly Etzler, his brother-in-law Mark Plattner, and his nephew Lance Plattner.
