Born August 19, 1958, in Chicago, he was the son of the late Donald and Phyllis Mills Conner.Skip was a 1976 graduate of Matoaka High School. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Germany, and many other places in Europe. Skip was known by many. He never met a stranger. You never knew where you would see Skip. He was known to just show up anywhere with a smile on his face. His heart was as big as his smile. He loved to watch westerns and M.A.S.H. He loved animals, especially his dogs and his horse, Lightnin'. His faith in God was very strong, and he visited many churches in the area. He loved his family very much. Skip will be greatly missed.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Michael Connor.Those left to cherish his memory include brothers, Ricky Conner of Marion, VA, Teddy Conner of Matoaka, and Shawn Conner and wife Vonda of Bramwell; nieces, Candice, Danielle, Brandy, Teresa, Amanda, Rachel, and Allyson; nephews, Michael, Jr., and T.J., several great-nieces and great nephews; three aunts; one uncle; cousins, Sarah Meadows and husband Greg, Sharon Cecil, Mark Piersall, and many other cousins and friends.Funeral Service will be held at 12;30 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Gary Raulerson and Pastor Tom Carpenter, officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.The family will receive visitors from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.Arrangements by Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
