Donald Brock, known affectionately as Donny, passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 75, surrounded by his loved ones after a short battle with cancer.
Donny lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and deep love for his family. In his early years, he proudly served his community as a City Police Officer. He later worked as a drywaller, where his strong work ethic and craftsmanship earned him great respect. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family. He enjoyed going for rides, working in his woodshop building birdhouses, and raising chickens alongside his beloved wife, Ruthann. Known for his warm smile that could light up a room and his contagious laugh, Donny was the person everyone turned to when something needed fixing or when advice was needed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruthann Brock; his children, Lisa (Ronald) Schnurer, Brady (Melanie) Brock, Lorie Brock, and Kelly Brock; and his cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey Brock, Samantha (Nick) Takala, Alesha (Erik) Marenger, Nicole (Jacob) LaFoille, and Rachel Brock. He was blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his step-dad, Henry Winsor; and his brothers and sisters, Tim Brock, Joe Brock, Sara (John) Middaugh, Edna (Carl) Phillips, and Marvin Brock.
Donny was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stacey Brock; his mother, Ilene Winsor; his father, Elmer Brock; his sisters, Lois Ritter and Wanda Burns; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Brock; and his nephew, Eric Phillips. He will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his willingness to help anyone in need, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
