She was born on August 15, 1954, in Indianapolis to the late Donald L. Padgett and Mildred R. (Jones) Padgett.Dona was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis and a faithful member of Southport Heights Christian Church. Her faith and her family were the center of her life.Dona truly lived for family gatherings. She lovingly remodeled her home so there would always be plenty of room for family to gather together. She took great pride in keeping her home in pristine condition, always ready in case someone stopped by. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, and many cherished memories were made there.She shared many adventures with her beloved husband, Charles "Max" Hannah. Together they enjoyed riding their Harley-Davidson motorcycles and traveling to Daytona and Sturgis, creating many unforgettable memories along the open road. Dona also loved traveling with her family, especially to places she treasured such as Hawaii and Myrtle Beach.Dona had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs, Sissie Lou and Zoe, who brought her great joy and companionship.She is survived by her siblings, Brenda Kurtz and Michael L. (Jan) Padgett; her half-brother, Donald Krueger; and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Morgan. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Kristen (Vance) Morgan Smythe, Karen Morgan, Heather (Scott) Padgett Long, Cody (Lauri) Jones, Katey Rose Jones, and Dylan (Katie) Jones.Dona is further survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews, Samantha Smythe, Holly (Alex) Smythe, Jessica (Blair) LeGrand, Gavin (Samantha) Smythe, Ian Long, Lyra Jones, Eowyn Jones, and Aiden Jones; as well as her great-great-nieces and nephews, Millie McAvoy, Lochleigh Hamble, Mason McAvoy, and Kendra Smythe.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Charles "Max" Hannah; her brothers, Jerry Morgan and Ronald Padgett; and her parents, Donald L. Padgett and Mildred R. (Jones) Padgett.Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory, share stories, and celebrate a life well lived from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.Dona will be remembered for her deep love of family, her warm hospitality, and the pride she took in making her home a welcoming place for all.
