He was a proud father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.Don was born in Breckenridge Texas on August 24, 1931, to Abbie Lee Dameron and Otis Fern Brewer. As a child, he moved with his mother and stepfather John Lacey to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Where he later married Rojean Howard and had two children, Dona and Randy.Don was also a proud Veteran who served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, serving as a boiler maker on the USS Menard APA-201Haskell-Class Attack Transport.In 1960 He married his second wife, Taeko S. Lacey, then moved to Michigan and had their two children, Tony D. Lacey and Todd O. Lacey.Through his life, he worked in the plumbing industry. In the mid 60's he worked for Huber, Hunt and Nichols, where he was involved in building the nation's largest million plus square foot, stamping plant for the Chrysler Corporation in Sterling Township, Michigan. This was considered a massive construction achievement at the time. He also worked for Meister Brothers Plumbing and Heating, RK Mechanical, and later owned his own plumbing company when he bought E.S. Toy Plumbing and Heating in Denver, Colorado.He is survived by three of his children Dona Moesel, Randy Lacey and Todd Lacey. Along with 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Taeko S. Lacey, and son Tony D Lacey and sister Fern Lee Codding.In accordance with his wishes, Don's ashes will be interred, joining his wife Taeko, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
