Dominique Diane Owen

Dominique Diane Owen, 51, of Brevard, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on July 9, 1974, to Daniel Lawrence Owen I and the late Beth Denise Gantt, she lived her life with fierce devotion to the people she loved.

She was a dedicated mother to Channing Nicole Moore and her husband, Trevar of Quebec; C’jon Conley and his wife, Breanna of Mills River; Cavan Walker; Coron Howell; and Camora Howell of Brevard. She was a proud grandmother to her treasured grandchildren, Nyleiah Mackenzie, Aeralyn Monroe, Teagan Mia, and Rowen Gantt. Dominique is survived by her siblings Danielle Owen Brock, Amanda Morgan, Adam Morgan, and Delilah Owen. She was preceded in death by her mother and her brother, Daniel Lawrence Owen II.

Dominique worked for Brevard Elementary and the Transylvania Schools, where her strong work ethic and genuine care for children left a lasting impression. She carried a quiet strength and warm, magnetic personality that made those around her feel welcome, understood, and safe. She had a gift for listening, offering comfort, and speaking truth with kindness. Her unmistakable laughter and sense of humor could brighten even the hardest days.

Above all, Dominique loved her family. Her children were her purpose and her grandchildren her joy. She showed up for every milestone, celebrated the simple things, and found special happiness in time outdoors, good music, holiday traditions, and the fun of St. Patrick’s Day. She will be remembered for her resilience, loyalty, generosity, and the wholehearted way she cared for those closest to her.
