Dominick J. Tagliati, 97, of New Alexandria, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. He was born on Jan. 28, 1929, in Saltsburg, a son of the late Cesare and Mary (Pesci) Tagliati. Dominick was a member of St. James Catholic Church, New Alexandria, and was always ready to give whatever was needed to the parish. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, and woodworking, and was quite the comedian on bus trips. But most of all, Dominick loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Dominick was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Frances (Caranese) Tagliati; son, Caesar James Tagliati; grandson, Martin Tagliati; and son-in-law, Patrick Carnicella. Dominick will be deeply missed by his daughter, Janice Carnicella of Greensburg; son, Vincent (Laura) Tagliati of Delmont; daughter-in-law, Melinda Tagliati of Hollidaysburg; and many nieces and nephews. Dominick was a proud, loving grandfather to Joseph, Emily, Maggie, Dominick, Michael, Angela, and Nicholas, whom he loved all dearly. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Dr., Delmont (724-468-1177). A Mass will be celebrated for Dominick at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church, New Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dominick's memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 306 St. James Lane, New Alexandria, PA 15670.
