Domingo Juarez "Mingo" Quirino

1951 — 2026

New Braunfels, TX

Domingo Quirino, known affectionately as Mingo, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the age of 74 in New Braunfels. Born on August 12, 1951, in San Antonio to Gonzalo Quirino and the late Raymunda Juarez Espinoza, Mingo lived a life marked by quiet strength, integrity, and deep devotion to family.

In 1970, he married the love of his life, Cecilia Lazaro Quirino, and together they recently celebrated 56 years of marriage. A loving and devoted husband, father, and Popo, Mingo took great pride in caring for his family. For more than 50 years, he worked in the drywall construction industry, eventually owning his own business, Domingo’s Drywall. He was widely respected for his honesty, fairness, and dependability. In recent years, he served as a Spanish translator for Heart of Hope at Oakwood Church and was baptized there on September 28, 2025.

Mingo was preceded in death by his mother, Raymunda Espinoza. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cecilia; his son, Ernest Quirino; his daughters, Terri Quirino and Sandra Quirino Ortiz and her husband, Charles; his grandson, Vincent Quirino; and his granddaughters, Madison Gomez, Jazmyne Ortiz, and Mya Gomez.
