Dolores Garman, 90, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born in Akron, she lived her entire life in the area, graduating from Saint Vincent High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Kent State University and a master’s degree from the University of Akron. She devoted her career to education, teaching at Betty Jane School in Akron and Saint Joseph School in Cuyahoga Falls, serving as principal at Immaculate Conception School in Kenmore, and finishing as a Reading Specialist at Walsh Jesuit High School. Teaching remained one of the great joys of her life.
Dee was a longtime active parishioner at Saint Joseph Church in Cuyahoga Falls. She will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family, her talent for delicious cooking and baking, and the thoughtful way she sewed pajamas for her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Ondas. Dolores is survived by her husband Denis, her sister Barbara Falletta, daughters Terri (Todd) Earnest and Sue (Charlie) Ligman, son John (Barb) Shaffer, stepdaughter Meredith Garman, stepson Eric (Mindy) Garman, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many beloved friends.
