Dolores F. Sauerbier

Dolores F. Sauerbier, age 92, of West Sparta, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 20, 1933, in Attica, New York, the daughter of the late Albert and Florence (Geitner) Frantello.

In 1955, Dolores married Charles “Charlie” Sauerbier Jr., who predeceased her in 2006. She was also predeceased by her sister Karen. For many years she worked at Eastman Kodak Company and Shays Service in Dansville before retiring at age 70 from C.W. McNair Nurseries, where she served as office manager for more than 40 years. Together with Charlie, she owned and operated Ferguson’s Dress Shop in Dansville and served as a landlord to many local apartments. While raising their seven children, she found great joy in cooking, baking, and frequent shopping trips.

Dolores is survived by her five daughters, Linda Sauerbier, Gail (Dan) Hoag, Diane Sauerbier, Brenda Eckerson, and Deb (Neil) Fisher; two sons, Terry Sauerbier and Tim Sauerbier; her brother Donald Frantello; her sister Donna Oman; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
