Dolores Senechal ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Sunset Options Funerals & Cremations Inc. on Mar. 10, 2026.Dolores Joan Behr (nee Senechal) passed away in her own home Feb.18th, 2026. Born Aug. 1925. Wife of the late Maurice Behr. Together Mom and Dad built a house full of love in Oak Creek. Their daughters are Betsy Behr, Jean (Tony) Gerasch, Mary (Art) Laabs, and Janet (Doug) Sandner. Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Our Mom was all about family. Her grandchildren are Mary (Adam) Froelich, David (Jennifer) Gerasch, Joey Laabs, Robin (Zack Moore) Sandner, and Kelly (Morgan Beattie) Sandner. Her five great grandchildren: Gwenivere, Eleanor and Anthony Gerasch, Xavier and Zachary Froehlich. Mom absolutely loved their visits. They made her smile every day. She enjoyed a rousing game of smiley balloon with anyone who would play. Also survived by BIL Jim (Nancy) Behr.Mom grew up in Marinette, Wis. She was born to August and Isabelle Senechal. Survived by her brother, Steve Senechal, preceded in death by her brothers David and Edward Senechal. Mom often told stories of her grandparent's tobacco and confectionary store on Main St. in Marinette. Mom graduated from Marinette High School in 1943. She stayed close to those friends the rest of their lives. It was at her job at Oilgear in Milwaukee that her co-worker, Ida Behr, introduced Mom to her brother Maurice. They married and lived in South Milwaukee before building their home in Oak Creek. The family grew and she was Aunt Dolly to many.Mom had many hobbies. She and Dad won many bowling trophies. She later crafted the trophies with caps and gowns for each grandchild's graduation. Dolores was an avid reader. She kept up with current events in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel daily. She read at least three to five books a week from the library. She enjoyed birdwatching with feeders set up outside the kitchen and living room windows. Mom and Dad had many opportunities to travel the world. Mom often shared stories from their travels. The cabin "Up North" in Crivitz helped us stay in touch with family and friends from Marinette, and Green Bay.It's hard to sum up all that Mom saw and experienced in a life of 100 years. She always wanted others to be happy. Her sense of humor was never lost. She was happiest when she got others to smile. She was ahead of her time and accepted that all people are equal. Love is love and kindness is the answer.Mom was a huge part of our lives and will always be remembered with the greatest love.May she rest in peace…A private service is being held at Forest Hill Cemetery with immediate family.
