Dolly passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026.Born on September 8, 1931, in Cleveland, Dolly made her home in Euclid for more than 75 years. It was there that she built a life rooted in faith, family, friendship, and fierce devotion to community. To know Dolly was to know energy in motion - she was a force, truly one of a kind. She believed deeply in not standing still. There was always something to do, someone to call, somewhere to be, or a cause to champion. Idleness simply did not suit her.She was the beloved mother of Gary (Diane) Gallagher, Patrick (Lena) Gallagher, and Gayle (Peter) Tuttle; adored grandmother of Heather (James Carter) Gallagher, Meredith (Jay) Diaz, Ed (Viki) Wade, Stephen (Margaret) Tuttle; and treasured great-grandmother of Ceili Taft, Amethyst Campbell, Jack Campbell, Emma Wade, Charlie Wade, Sammy Wade, Theodore Tuttle, and Jessica Tuttle.Dolly was the loving sister of Audrey Stanziano, sister-in law of Kathi Luskin and Colletta (James) Fahey. She was the cherished aunt of Peter Buccilli, Karen (Dan) Hyatt, Cindy Restifo, Pasquale Buccilli, Joanna (Joe) DeFrancisco, Steve (Marylois) Stanziano, Mary (Eric) Bockmuller, Nancy (Bob) Nieser, Amy (Rick) Ianni, Joseph (Jen) Stanziano, Christine (Tom) Varga, Kevin (Deb) Pappadakis, Megan (Marcus) Phillips; and proud great-aunt of Bridgette Buccilli, Mandy Kostelli, Lauren Hyatt, Gina (Christopher) Byrne, Blaise (Margaret) Restifo, Eric (Jackie) Bockmuller, Jen (Paul) Kambies, Ryan (Lauren) Bockmuller, Stephanie (Lenny) Wright, Rachel (Curtis) Reiman, Ricky (Sarah) Ianni, Emily (Reece) Pavlovich, Brian Hyatt, Jason (Brittany) Hyatt, Natalie Stanziano,, Gabriella Stanziano, Isabella (Matt) Tuohey, Michelle (Jason) Bachman, Mark (Natalie) Mancini, Sara (Matt) Dudash, Dominic (Ali) Buccilli, Angelina Buccilli, Pasquale Buccilli, Francia (Johan Miguel) Ordonez, Guiseppe (Meghan) DeFrancisco, Josetta (Keifer) Holliman, Gianni (Desiree) DeFrancisco, Abbygael Cancian, Molly Cancian, Bryn Cancian, Brighton Cancian, Nicholas Varga, Cooper Varga, Liam Luskin, May Hollan and Peyton Hollan. Joseph Stanziano.Dolly believed in being tough - but always with kindness and compassion. She was generous with her time and steady in her willingness to help. If something needed doing, Dolly was already halfway there. She made friends wherever she went, forming lifelong bonds through her warmth, humor, and unmistakable spark.Dolly also showed her love through cooking. She was a phenomenal cook who believed that a good meal could comfort the heart and bring people together. Whenever someone was sick, or when illness or loss touched a family, Dolly was often the first to arrive with a home-cooked meal in hand, ready to make sure everyone was cared for and nourished. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, generosity, and love. Over the years, her family gathered around the table for countless meals, sharing not only the delicious dishes Dolly prepared but also the laughter, conversation, and treasured moments of time spent together.Though rarely still, one of the few times Dolly could be found sitting quietly was with a book in her hands. She was a voracious reader who delighted in stories of Irish heritage, sweeping romances, and rich historical narratives. Blessed with strong eyesight for most of her life, she treasured the simple joy of reading. When her vision no longer allowed her to turn the pages herself, she embraced audiobooks, continuing her lifelong love of stories.Community was not simply something Dolly participated in - it was something she helped build. She was actively involved in the Euclid Women's Caucus, the Shore Cultural Centre, the Eastside Irish American Club, and the Shore Haven Beach Club. Though not Irish by heritage herself, she devoted tremendous time and energy to strengthening the Eastside Irish American Club. Dolly ran the kitchen, coordinated wedding receptions, assisted brides with menu planning, and helped ensure every celebration came together beautifully - while Jack proudly handled the bar. Together, they created memorable celebrations for countless families. At Shore Haven Beach Club, Dolly was instrumental in organizing parades, cookouts, and community events throughout the years. She believed wholeheartedly in celebrating life - in dancing, laughing, sharing meals, and bringing people together. She played Bunco and Mah Jong, enjoyed sewing, and created placemats, coasters, and tea cozies. She also generously shared her talents with Sew4Service, using her skills to help others.Faith was also an important and growing part of Dolly's life. Over the years, her faith deepened and remained a steady source of strength and guidance. Though not one for frequent travel, Dolly and Jack made a cherished trip to Ireland to visit Jack's family and see the countryside. The memories from that journey brought Dolly great joy throughout the years.Dolly lived boldly, loved deeply, and built community wherever she went. She organized, celebrated, cooked, stitched, read, danced, prayed, and cared for those around her. In every room she entered she brought energy, laughter, and warmth.Family will receive friends on Monday, March 9 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby, Ohio.Dolly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, generosity, and joy.
