He was the cherished son of Carmen (German) Moreno of Lynn and Diogenes Domingo Gutierrez of New Jersey. Born in San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, he came to Lynn at a young age and made it his home for most of his life.Diogenes worked as an independent contractor in the construction and painting industry. He approached his work with quiet determination and a strong sense of responsibility, always striving to provide for those he loved. He was known for his kindness, his willingness to help others, and the steady, humble way he showed up for his family and friends.He will be remembered most for his gentle heart, his deep devotion to his mother, his children, his siblings, cousins and his nieces, nephews and grandchildren, and the joy he found in simply being with them. Diogenes had a natural gift for dancing-something that brought him happiness and allowed his lighthearted spirit to shine. His laugh was warm and contagious, and his faith was a grounding force throughout his life.Diogenes leaves behind his beloved parents; his loving siblings, Carmen and her husband Peter Panacopoulos of Danvers, Cecilia Gutierrez of Middleton, and Delwin Gutierrez of Lynn; his step sister and step-brother, Rosa Moreno and Nelkis Moreno; and his devoted children: Ashley Ruiz of Beverly, Cecilia Gutierrez of Lynn, Amadelyne Gutierrez of Lynn, Alexa Gutierrez of Lynn, Danielle Gutierrez of Lynn, Viviana Gutierrez of Peabody, and Diogenes Gutierrez of Peabody. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Mikhail Minier, Mya Gutierrez, and Bryson Lopez, and nieces Aviana and Ella Panacopoulos of Danvers and nephew Grayson Gutierrez of Middleton who brought immense joy to his life.
