Dileep Paul Benjamin

Dileep Paul Benjamin, of the Penthalayil family from Puthencruz, Kerala, passed away on March 12, 2026. A devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and beloved son, he will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his family, and the positive impact he made on everyone around him.

Born to Chevalier Adv. P. Benjamin Paul and Josy Varghese, Dileep completed a B.Tech in Information Technology from the University College of Engineering, Trivandrum, and later earned an MBA from Symbiosis, Pune. He built a successful career as a software engineer, earning the respect of his colleagues for his skill, professionalism, and commitment. Deeply committed to his faith, he was an active member of his home parish, Mount Zakhai St. George's Jacobite Church in Veloor, Kerala, and for the past ten years served faithfully at St. George's Syriac Orthodox Church in Chantilly, Virginia, in roles including Trustee, Sunday School Headmaster, and managing committee member.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mariya Babu, a dedicated nurse and educator from the Mulayamkuzhiyil Palapurathu family in Kayanad, Muvattupuzha, and their beloved children, Saira and David, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his sister Deepa, who lives in Australia with her husband Jeevan and their two children, and was a valued son-in-law to Aney and Joy, and a caring brother-in-law to Merlin and Nickson.

Beyond his professional and church life, Dileep found joy in cooking Kerala dishes, photography, exploring new technology, watching movies, and following cricket. His memory will live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched.
