Dick Lindsay

May 30, 1931 March 13, 2026

Graham, TX

Richard Lindsay, known affectionately as Dick, was born on May 30, 1931, in Flint, Michigan, to John and Lillian (McFall) Lindsay. Raised in Olney, Texas, he graduated from Olney High School and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from North Texas State College. Soon afterward, he moved to Graham, where he founded Lindsay Air Conditioning. In the 1970s, his interest turned to the oil industry, and he established Dick Lindsay Oil Company.

In the summer of 1955, Dick met Ann Simmons, who became the love of his life. They married later that year and spent the next seventy years together, raising three cherished daughters. Dick was deeply devoted to his family and friends, making the nurturing of those relationships the heart of his life. He was known for writing thoughtful letters, making regular phone calls, and creating meaningful gifts for those he cared about.

An active member of his community, Dick served on the Graham City Council and was a longtime participant in the Rotary Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, photographer, and trapshooter who found great joy in mentoring others and building lasting friendships through his hobbies. In 2002, he was inducted into the Texas Trapshooters Hall of Fame, an honor celebrated by his many friends and family.

Dick passed away on March 13, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Lindsay, in June of 2025, his parents, and his brother J.R. Lindsay. He is survived by his daughters Melissa Livingston and husband Joe Don, Kathy Lambden and husband Troy, and Becky Roberts and husband Max, all of Graham; his grandchildren Casey Livingston, Missy Livingston and David Clay, Mary Roberts, Anna Rogers and husband William, Allie Brown and husband John, and Abigail Livingston; and his great-grandchildren Joey Livingston, Emma and Caroline Rogers, and Will, Harry and Lilly Brown.
