May 13, 1946— March 11, 2026
South Bend, IN
Dianna Lee Michalski, 79, of South Bend, passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 13, 1946, in Chicago to Robert and Mary (Cash) Stillson, Dianna graduated from East Tennessee State University. She spent many years as a Warranty Administrator for Bendix/Honeywell. She found great pleasure in the simple things: solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles, admiring butterflies, and discovering bargains at garage and yard sales. For about fifteen years she enjoyed her second home in Florida, later becoming a snowbird. While there, she sang in the choir at First Presbyterian Church in Destin. She was also a member of the Tippecanoe River-Wythougan chapter of the DAR and the Social Club in Roseland, where she formed many cherished friendships.
Above all, Dianna treasured her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Michalski, who passed away on August 8, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Sharna Chapman; her sons, Shane (Melissa) Chapman and Caleb (Liz) Chapman; and her stepdaughter, Brandy Lolmaugh. She was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren: James (Yi Hui) Lolmaugh, Abi (Cole) Murray, Alicia Chapman, Jordan Lolmaugh, Dane Chapman, Shelby (Nate) Humphries, Caleb Chapman II, Nick Chapman, Noah Red Elk, and Izzy Chapman. She was blessed with one great-grandchild, Oliver Murray. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Darlene) Stillson Jr.
Dianna will be remembered for her warm heart, her deep love for her family, and the quiet joy she found in everyday moments. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
