She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Johnson and Dorothy Johnson (Zirkle); her husband Richard E. Heavilin; and her grandson Colton Jacob Overmyer. She is survived by: her children, Craig Heavilin (Bethany) of Valparaiso, Ryan Heavilin (Kim) of Valparaiso, Brant Heavilin (Jennifer) of Valparaiso and Alyssa Overmyer (Jacob) of Argos; her grandchildren, Shelby, Madison, Isabel, Annabelle, Nevaeh, Brianna, Bianca, Bryer, Brielle, Kaylan, Madeline and Ayla; and her great grandchildren, Georgia and Merrick.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Valley Baptist Church (255 Cr-325 E, Valparaiso, IN 46383). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to the Daughters of the American Revolution.
